Next 'Gold'

<p>This is a perfume I like to use inbetween Birthdays and Christmas when I can't afford to buy my favourite Armani Diamonds. Aside from it being second best in scent I do love it. It has a smell that's not overly feminine which suits me perfectly as I can be a bit of a tom boy sometimes. What I love about Next Gold is that not only is it £12 for 75ml bottle but the smell sticks around for most of the day, really long lasting scent. Super  recommend this perfume especially with the cheap price tag you won't have to be sparing with it. Go Buy :)    x E

Pink and blue leopard print nails

Saw people do this with other colours and wanted to give it a go,  easy enough to replicate if you have a black nail art polish.

I'll probably post different colour combos soon

Dr Jart

I saw this Dr jart product in Boots, I was thinking that it could be a slightly cheaper substitute to Ginevra marvel Gel but it's hard to tell if it's the same concept,  has anyone tried this before? Its quite hard to find information online.  :)

Rimmel lipstick - colour 'Kiss Me'

I was gutted to find out that Rimmel stopped selling my favourite shade of lipstick, it is a bright orange/red with a matte finish and I'd say I wear it 90% of nights out and occasions. The shade is 'Kiss me -104' and is part of their Colour Show Off range. I only seem to suit matte lipsticks, (I'm just one of those girls that looks like a tranny when I wear glossy or pale lipsticks), and it's so hard to find one the same shade and finish.

Long story short, I'm coming to the end of the road with the one I'm using at the minute, so I went searching online. I came across this website that sells it for a 1/3 of the original price! (i'm assuming that's because it's last seasons stock). So of course I bought two :) Bargain, I had to share. It's worth having a browse around the website, some really great finds in there.

Ginvera whitening marvel gel

Can I just say firsly that this product is just fabulous! It really is my saviour. Basically the idea is that it works like an exfoliator on you face, only it's a gel and there is no beeds or grit. It almost works like a peel only its extremely gentle on your face and safe to use every day.

You can see from the photo that it starts out as a gel, once you gently rub it in you start to feel the dead skin being removed from the surface, this is very visable too. Not only does it remove all your dead skin, reduce blackhead and blemish appearences, but it makes your skin feel so great after too. What makes this product great aswel is that you don't need to wash it off with water,  you can just use a cleanser to wipe away any residue, simple and easy.

A tip from me is that it works great when used before applying your makeup. It leaves you with a perfectly smooth and matte surface to work with, giving great after results.

To buy it costs around £22 for a 60ml bottle, which might seem a bit pricey but I cannot say I own a product that is more worth it! If you shop around you will find cheaper prices and it will last longer than you think.

Lolita lempicka

I got a sample of this in one of the beauty boxes I subscribe to, I can't remember which one but I fell in love with it and had to buy the full bottle. I got this on eBay for £27 (50ml) through a beauty shop. Full price is around £45 so it's definitely worth having  a shop around for the best deals. It's also hard to find within the UK so branch out.

It's very hard to describe the smell,  it's nothing like anything I've smelt before, quite fruity and floral at the same time but also extremely delicate and feminine. Its going to be one of my favourites close to Armani Diamonds :)

Also,  Isn't the bottle just stunning!

Shopping Haul

I went on a bit of a spending spree in Boots the other day. Thought I'd share!

I choose Maybelline Colour Sensational Popsticks in 'Pink Lollipop' and 'Citrus Slice'

I've been meaning to try these for a while now after trying the Jane Iredale lip tint. I wasn't sure which shade to go for so I choose two :) I love how they are essentially a lip gloss in a slick.

The great thing about these popsticks is that they go on clear and gradually change colour. Both of which seem a pinky colour when it's on me but I hear that it varies between person, adapts to their tone.

Out of the two I think I prefer Pink Lollipop, it has a stronger colour to it when I wear it. The Citrus Slice I do still really like, they are both good for a day-to-day lip colour. Not quite bold enough for me to wear on nights out and occasions. They also smell like cherryade :)

The Maybelline 'Super Stay 10hr Lip Tint' I bought in shade 'Endless Ruby'. It didn't quite last 10hrs when put under the test but did fairly well, maybe about 5. It doesn't dry up on your lips which is good, but isn't sticky either.

I really wanted to get some Models Own polishes from their Hedkandi range. I went for 'Beach Party' and 'Balearic Cool'. The pigment in the blue one isn't too strong so at least 3 layers are needed to get a strong colour but the orange I LOVE :) I'll be posting a tutorial soon with these colours.

She Said Beauty box June 2012

This was number 3 of the 3 available beauty boxes in the UK and the cheapest at only £9/mth.

I think overall I was most pleased with this box compared to Jolie and Glossy because although there was variety in them all, this one just got it spot on to my preferences. It might have just been beginners luck, but I've subscribed to a second so we'll see next month if it's just as good :) one thing I would say though is less product more makeup.

We'll start with my favourite, the 'Lets Go Strip lashes in Tease'. I love false lashes of al kinds so it's always great to try some new ones. the style wasn't my favourite from all those available, not dramatic and full enough for to wear on a night out I don't think. None the less they are ones that I think would be acceptable to wear during the day, nice and light and quite natural. Available for £8.95

Next was 'Elemis - Tranquil Touch Indulgent Bath Elixir' it smells really great, leaves your skin feeling great and really feels like a luxurious product. Available for £19.00

The BB cream sample was 'Ginvera - Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream' which I was impressed with, even though im not a massive fan of BB creams. Normally they would go clumpy and feel quite heavy on my face but this one blended well and feels natural although still was very shiny on my face. Still dont think it's something I would purchase though, only because it doesn't take well to my skin type (quite oily). Available for £20.00

The 'Balance Me - Super Moisturising Hand Cream' I do really like this but I'm not mad about the smell, quite strong old fashioned smell. Does it's job though, leaves your hands feeling super soft and smooth :) Available for £14.50

Another favourite of mine from the box is 'St. Tropez - Gradual Tan Everyday Body' This is something that I've bought before and loved. Smells great and looks great, moisturises the skin while leaving it with a healthy glow definitely one of the best gradual fake tans. Available for £14.30

The last was the perfume sample 'Yardley London - Royal Diamond'. Smells nice but i'm never overly excited about getting perfume samples. There's very few perfumes I like, i'm usually quite particular. It dooes  smell sweet/fresh though and I was surprised at how nice it was. Available from £9.99

Jubilee Nail Art

Just a post about my nails of the day, especially for the Jubilee :) simple blue base white crosses with the red on top. Simple but cute. They are also quite messy and sketchy (the detail is quite teeny).

GlossyBox may 2012

Yay it's here! I'll be honest, although I was really pleased with the products that I got to try, I was really disappointed that there was no makeup products. I'm ALL about the makeup so that was a bummer, but everything was really good to try. And the free pocket mirror didn't go a miss.

I haven't got a chance to try any of the products but I'll share with you what I got in my box. First the Eldora false eyelashes! These were my favourite, I rarely have a night out without a pair of false lashes. They are different to ones I'd normally wear with the glitter detail around the lash line but it will be interesting to see how they look on. I'll post a pic when i wear them.

Next is the Noble Isle - summer rising, bath and shower gel. It smells gorgeous. For me it doesn't smell too floral and girly, which I like. I does smell really great, won't be to everyone's taste though I don't think, but it reminds me of a smell from my childhood so I really like it.

Another product which I cannot wait to try is the Apivita face mask with honey. I love Face masks so this is a good one GlossyBox! they must be good though at apparently £3.50 a sachet. Yikes!

The Berber Oil hair treatment I also cannot wait to use, I love hair treatments, not sure about oily products in my hair though but I cannot wait to try anyway and it smells like bubblegum! Hopefully this might sort out my dry ends from recently doing ombre blonde on my tips.

The perfumes don't excite me really, I hate paying for perfume samples when you can get them free in the shops and I usually don't like the ones they send. I don't like the Si Lolita, too spicey and old fashioned for me but the Lolita Lempicka I ADORE! It's quite sweet but at the same time not overly feminine which I like. You can get he 100ml bottle for £25 in selected stores which is a great price.

And of course, GlossyBox was feeling super generous and threw in this free pocket mirror :) cheers!

Happy Birthday GlossyBox!

Todays nails

Just a post about today's nails. Base is no7 in lilac and detail is La Colours , Art Deco in pink & white :)

Make Your Own Lipstick or Tinted Lipbalm

So I had a lip balm lying around that I rarely used. I decided to use a bit of eye shadow pigment to tint the clear gloss to make a colour I would actually wear on my lips. I added a few different colours until I got the shade I wanted. I also made a MASSIVE mess, so if your doing this put down paper if you don't want to ruin everything around you ^_^

MakeUp Bargain Finds!

I went on a bit of a spending spree with some of my birthday money. Guess how much I paid for all this...

.... Just £20 for the lot at themakeupbagonline.co.uk, they even threw in the Blending brush and the brush bag for FREE :) Here's what I got:

1x LA Colours Art Deco Nail Polish -  Intense Pink
1x LA Colours Art Deco Nail Polish -  White
1x LA Colours Art Deco Nail Polish -  Black
1x LA Colours Art Deco Nail Polish -  Yellow

These brushes are great for nail art, the brush is long and thin, perfect for small detail. They only cost a few pennys over £1 each! and the colours come out very strong too. I was disappointed with the pigment in the yellow one though, wasn't as strong as the others.

1x Technic Nail Polish Carnival

This is just fabulous, I'm a sucker for anything glittery, and i love how the glitter in this is different colours and sizes.

1x Saffron Loose Eyeshadow Shimmer Powder- 05

I didn't buy this to use as an eyeshadow, I'm not into wearing extravagant colours on the eyes. I bought this to use as a pigment for a lip colour, it was only £1.99 so why not. Check out my next post I'll show you how I made a great tinted lip balm with it.

1x Saffron Gel liner with brush - Black

This I love! Because it was only £2.99 I was expecting it to be pretty bad to be honest but I was pleasantly surprised. I never use pencil eyeliner because it doesn't stay in place long enough, so liquid always works best for me. This is beyond good, it dries almost instantly and takes ALOT of scrubbing to remove, an all day jobbie.  You can see below how it looks on my eye, and it's really simple and easy to do with the brush that is provided.

1x Technic Limited Edition Holographic silver shimmer nail polish.

This I tested briefly on one nail, the pigment is very intense and strong, It comes out a proper matte metallic silver.

1x Royal Enhance Blusher Brush
1x Royal Enhance Foundation Brush
1x Royal Enhance Blending Brush

These range from £1.99 - £2.49 and believe me the price doesn't show in the quality of the product. These are exactly the same quality as the brushes that you would pay over £10 for, I would never have a blusher brush like this, just because I would refuse to pay the price, until now! Really great value.

1x Glow in the dark nail polish by BYS

This is my favourite from the lot just because it's a super cool idea. GLOW IN THE DARK!! And it really does work! It's not just silly stuff that glows with UV lights, it actually charges up in the light and will glow bright in a plain dark room, no UV lights needed. Really Awesome. (I'm such a child sometimes.)

Visit themakeupbagonline.co.uk, it really is worth it. £20 well spent!
